Composer 5.2 Modular For Windows

--- VENICE, ITALY, 2005 DEC 1 --- We are proud to introduce
you the latest version of Symbolic Composer. Symbolic Composer
5.2 is one of the most advanced and largest music composition language
available. Included are 1500 page SCOM Reference Manual with detailed
examples and tutorials.
Symbolic Composer 5.2 for the Windows includes many important additions
that make the application more easier to use. There are now Desktop
Wizard, Interface Coloring, Interactive Lisp Listener, Go Menu, Scope
X, CNT Search-Engine and Mac Menubar Emulation.
Desktop Wizard allows you to
get back to your previous session, and restores all the windows, their
size,
position and edit position to the situation you last time exit SCOM.
This helps to continue your work the next day, or after doing
other studio tasks with your computer.
SCOM Output
Window includes now interactive Lisp Listener. This is an important
addition, since it enables to type in
commands and view the results interactively, which helps in learning
Lisp as well as to test out manually SCOM commands.
Interface Coloring allows to highlight window colors and fonts
according to personal preferences. There is now also the option to use
smaller font size, which is suitable for the advanced SCOM programmer.
Go Menu is useful when editing large scores, or viewing the
documentation, allowing to quickly locate the right place. Go Menu is
context-sensitive, and its contents vary automatically accoring to the
document you are editing.
SCOM 5.2 includes now also the Scope X Button which immediately graphs
the selected SCOM
expressions.
Powerful Context Search-Engine searches out snippets within documents,
scores and projects, and
allows to find out if some score or a document is directly dealing with
the current compositional problem, showing you how the function has
been used
in actual compositions, and allowing to open the document in the right
position for copying it.
We also added Mac menubar emulation for SCOM cross-platform users. This
addition is suitable for users who need to align PC and Macintosh to
work in the same way.

Symbolic Composer provides the composer 1000 algorithmic tools to be
applied into music: advanced mathematics, physics, genetics, fractal
& chaos theory. Included are all chords, scales and tuning systems,
and historical compositional methods.
